Description
Gate valves are commonly used in the straight-line flow of fluid where its main feature is the sealing surface between the gate and seats in same horizontal position. These valves are usually fully opened or fully closed. Gate valves are used in pipelines as isolating valves and it should not be used in controlling flow because perfect control is not possible.
It is used for different purposes and mostly seen in homes and commercial buildings. With the use of bore diameter, the size of the valve can be measured. Friction loss is very much low in gate valves, it also helps us to save energy and minimizes the total cost of ownership.
